Yes, and I always borrow his scissors and spend a long time in the shower. .Matthew Cruickshank http://holloway.co.nz/

I can only assume you mean that taking a long time in the shower involves something other than being a bastard flatmate who uses all the hot water... you know, as in my intended meaning.

The other one? .Matthew Cruickshank http://holloway.co.nz/

oh yeah, bronwyn: all information is good, ask any mathematican.

Yes, and I always borrow his scissors and spend a long time in the shower.

Dearest Matthew, Perhaps we misunderstand each other. Did you mean to imply that the borrowing of scissors and taking long showers were unrelated events? This would ease my mind. Sincerely, Bronwyn

P.S. Dominic Tarr, is information really capable of being good or bad? I think it can be good FOR and bad FOR things, but as far as it's nature is concerned I don't believe that it is capable of emotive qualities. One argument may suggest that the possession of information could, in some situations, be bad. For example: when I was in the jungle I was abducted by paramilitaries and tortured as they attempted to extract my secret formulae. As a result I feel that this particular item of information was NOT good as it was damaging to my health. I may have been better off without it. However, I dont feel that it was the intention of the information to harm me.

seriously doll, do you really think i would say "all information has good intentions" you are an intelligent woman, are you taking the piss? but you raise a very good point regarding your jungle experiences, this depends of exactly what we mean by "information". i would suppose that in a global sense your secret formula is good for the resistance despite what inconvenience it may pose to you personally. however, what about the possibility that the "information" is is actually false? perhaps if the paramilitaries tortured you for a formula that turned out to be useless in "the art of war" Sun Tzu discusses the idea of a "dead agent" as it relates to espionage, you send a spy into enemy territory knowing that they will be captured and tortured, but you give them false information so as to give your enemy a false impression. the art of war is all about false impressions. this makes things quite a bit more complicated and i would have to admit that all information is not good, or at least that all data is not good. we could define "information" as "useful data" but this is tricky because there would be a potential piece of information telling us if some data is information or disinformation, and some potential piece of disinformation telling us the reverse. surely no one will want to torture for any information you have about Matthew's masturbatory habits. p.s. by no means do i mean to imply that you where a being used as a "dead agent".
